This opening is for Spring 2025!
Contribute to the success of the Dual Credit Program through the following functions:
Assist with identifying, growing, and maintaining relationships with delivery sites (high schools) via outreach to promote the Dual Credit Program to high schools throughout the state of Indiana
Assist with recruitment efforts with high school students, as well as their parents
Assist in managing the Dual Credit Program’s application process
Assist in developing and delivering learner orientation to students and parents
Assist in developing and providing orientation to faculty liaisons
Assist in assessing marketing and communication needs for the program, and through collaboration with the division’s internal marketing and communication team and undergraduate admissions and recruitment staff, assist in developing strategies and marketing and recruitment for statewide delivery
In an advisory capacity, assist in guiding high school students regarding scenarios that will impact their registration into the Dual Credit Program
Evaluate and analyze various processes and procedures involved with the Dual Credit Program and make recommendations regarding improvements to enhance the success of the Dual Credit Program, along with retention strategies.
Report to: Assistant Director of High School and Statewide Initiatives
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Preferred Experience and Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; high degree of commitment to customer service; strong focus on detail and task completion; highly organized with good analytical skills; competency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and Internet applications.Additional Preferred Experience and Skills: Administrative and customer service experience. Proficient use of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool and/or SIS (Student Information System), preferably Banner; at least one year of proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite tools, including a minimum of Word and Excel software.

Terms of Employment:
Fall semester 2025, 20 hours per week, beginning August 18 and ending December 12, excluding Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break
Spring semester 2026, 20 hours per week, beginning January 5 and ending May 1, excluding Spring Break
2-year master's students will be eligible for contract renewal pending performance review at the end of the academic year
Compensation:
$9,600 for a full-time Academic Year contract and tuition remission, for 20 hours per week through the academic year; per the most recent policy listed in the Graduate Assistantship guidelines dependent on the term and type of assistantship. GAs will pay the student services fee, all mandatory fees, and any applicable program and course fees.
About Health Promotion and Advocacy:
Health Promotion and Advocacy (HPA) provides health & wellness education, prevention, and survivor-centered support. HPA contributes to student academic success by promoting healthier behaviors and relationships. HPA strives to create a safer community by providing survivor-centered support, resources, and services to respond to the impact of gender-based violence.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Assistant Director to plan and promote health and wellness programs, events, and initiatives, often in collaboration with other departments and community organizations
Facilitate presentations, outreach, and trainings on a variety of topics, including but not limited to alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, sleep, stress management, and the nine dimensions of wellness
Co-advise Peer Wellness Ambassador Program which may include contributing to semesterly curriculum planning; coordinating weekly meeting topics, logistics, and communication; overseeing student-led outreach; conducting check-ins with students; and recruiting new PWAs
Assist with designing, collecting data, and analysis of program assessments and evaluations
Contribute to content development and monitoring of HPA’s social media platforms
Participate in committee/department meetings as appropriate
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities related to position

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must be a full-time, degree-seeking student enrolled in a masters-level graduate program in August 2025
Strong public speaking, written, and one-on-one communication skills
Willingness to learn unfamiliar and/or evolving health and wellness programming topics
Ability to apply professional boundaries with undergraduate students and office staff
Ability to provide quality support to all Ball State students
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and basic computational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference given to Health Promotion/Education/Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Dietetics, Health Science, Mental Health Counseling, Nursing, or related graduate programs
Knowledge of health promotion theories and research

Graduate Assistant - Engagement & Strategy Team

Job Description
The Ball State University Foundation is looking to hire an outgoing, motivated, and organized graduate assistant. This is a full-time (20 hours a week) graduate assistantship position for the 2025-2026 academic year with the possibility of renewing for a second year if performance evaluations are positive.
This student will be part of a creative, award-winning team and gain experience working with Ball State students, alumni, and donors. This is a highly competitive graduate assistant position, and the Foundation is looking for students who are passionate and knowledgeable about the University.
The graduate assistant will work alongside Foundation professionals responsible for programs such as Homecoming & One Ball State Day, and gain experience in event planning, marketing, writing, and more. The ideal candidate thinks outside the box and communicates well, no matter the audience, is creative and capable of multi-tasking. The ideal candidate has a willingness to learn and assist with projects outside of their comfort zone. This includes research and communicating with peers.
This position is a two-year appointment, with a one-year review.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Engagement and Strategy team of the Ball State University Foundation in the organization and execution of projects related to student engagement and philanthropy, particularly Homecoming and One Ball State Day.
Assist in the supervision of the Homecoming Steering Committee and Philanthropy Education Council; organize/lead any related meetings of those groups.
Speak with student organizations, departments, and other units about programs such as Homecoming, One Ball State Day, Top 100 Student Awards, and mentoring.
Organize focus groups with student leaders to benefit the student-to-alumni pipeline.
Work closely with student leaders to ensure successful programming and smooth event execution.
Speak into communications for students and recent alumni.
Assist with the promotion of various student and alumni engagement initiatives. This includes Homecoming and One Ball State Day, as well as any new initiatives from the Foundation.
Work in a combination of settings that include typing and sitting at a computer, campus work outside of the Alumni Center, and occasional events sites. This role does require occasional night and weekend commitments.
Qualifications
Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program at Ball State University.
Must have a weekly on-campus presence to be eligible for an assistantship.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with social media.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to participate in a collaborative environment and facilitate relationships with all areas of the University.
Experience leading groups is preferred but not required.
Interest in nonprofit management, fundraising, or related fields is preferred but not required.

Ball State University in Muncie, IN is offering multiple Graduate Assistant positions. Each position is a 10-month annual and renewable contract for a student enrolled in an eligible graduate health professions program within the College of Health. Eligible programs include Social Work; Nursing; programs within the School of Kinesiology; Speech and Language Pathology; Audiology; Nutrition; and Counseling.

The Graduate Assistant position is part of the centralized team within Cardinal Central that provides a student-focused approach to quality service to provide an exceptional, seamless service experience that supports student success and institutional goals of recruitment, retention, and graduation.
Supporting Student Success
This position is cross trained to provide front-line support to students (prospective, current, former, alumni), parents/families, and other campus community members in the areas of the University Registrar, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the Student Financial Services (Bursar).
Graduate Assistants can be one of the first levels of student contact where personal interaction and problem solutions begin. They provide specialized information and respond to inquiries, act as a triage for complex enrollment issues, solve end-to-end issues, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate Specialists and/or Leadership in the office that support Cardinal Central.
